Resembling Grumman's X5F Skyrocket, the Bristol 153a was a paper proposal for a twin-engine cannon-armed fighter. The Brstol design was not selected for consideration; eventually, the Westland Whirlwind was selected to meet the requirement the 153a was designed for.

Bristol 153a paper model package brings this concept fighter from out of historical obscurity and into the real world! The package includes five conjectural appearances for the 153a: in a prototype paint scheme, as an early-war RAF fighter, in the two-tone "desert" finish, and two aircraft in late-war "RAF European Day Fighter" camouflage.
