Boeing's F3B served in the U.S. Navy from 1928 until 1932, with 74 aircraft being built. The F3B flew with several Navy squadrons as a fighter and fighter-bomber, and operated from the carriers Langley, Saratoga, and Lexington.

This paper model kit contains parts to re-create seven U.S. Navy F3B's, operating with the squadrons VB-1, VF-2B, VB-2, VF-3B, and VF-6. The marking schemes illustrate a number of variations of transitional USN markings for carrier-based aircraft.
