The Kaiser-Fleetwings XBTK-1 was a proposal for a single-seat, carrier-based attack aircraft that could carry out both the dive-bomber and torpedo-bomber roles. First flown in 1944, the design suffered from teething troubles that delayed development, and the airplane faced stiff competition from the Martin AM-1 Mauler and Douglas AD-1 Skyraider, both of which went into production. The end of World War Two ended the need for the XBTK-1, and only five were built. All five were scrapped by 1947. This paper model builds one of the development XBTK-1 airframes.
